Hello, and thank you for checking out my website! I am excited to share more about my professional background and interests. I graduated from Miami University in May 2010 with a B.A. in strategic communication and minors in marketing and French. During college, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Dijon, France for six weeks during the summer of 2008, completing nine credit hours taught in the French language.
Shortly after graduation, I began working as Communications Coordinator for Delta Sigma Pi, a national business fraternity headquartered in Oxford, Ohio. My main task was coordinating the writing, editing, and design of The DELTASIG magazine (published three times per year). I also managed email communications and other fraternity publications (including manuals, flyers, brochures, and programs).
In February 2012, I started my position at Miami University. As Communication Specialist for the Office of Enrollment Communications and Operations, I serve as the primary writer and editor for print and electronic communication produced by five offices on campus. My team responsible is responsible for all communication produced for first-year, transfer, and international recruitment, including social media, website, brochures, and more. We also develop all marketing aspects for on- and off-campus events.
Being deadline-oriented and flexible is key to being successful in any position and I believe I always to rise to the challenge. My past roles have reinforced my time management and organizational skills and my ability to work in a fast-paced environment. I have also had many opportunities to further develop my writing, editing, and graphic design skills during the past three years and am ready to pursue a new position.
I have taken courses in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop and InDesign and have attended several conferences (including Fraternity Communications Association conferences and a social media seminar). Other interests include eventing (an equestrian sport), traveling, and volunteering.
